Common Questions
Most Popular Questions
What day tours does LP Valeria I operate?
LP Valeria I operates four day tours from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno (San Cristóbal): Kicker Rock & Beach, Kicker Rock & Punta Pitt, Highlands & Farm Experience, and Española Island (Pta. Suárez & Gardner). Tours rotate on a weekly schedule.
How do I get to San Cristóbal for a day tour?
San Cristóbal has its own airport (SCY) with direct flights from Quito and Guayaquil. Arrive the day before to take your chosen tour the next morning. We can help coordinate hotel recommendations and airport pickup.
What should I pack for a Galápagos day tour?
Swimsuit, comfortable lightweight hiking clothes, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), closed-toe hiking shoes, camera, water bottle, and sea sickness medication if needed. All snorkel gear, wetsuits and meals are included.
What's the difference between Galápagos day tours and cruises?
Day tours return to port every evening — ideal for travelers staying on San Cristóbal who want to explore nearby islands in manageable 1-day excursions. Multi-day cruises sail overnight and visit more remote islands like Genovesa, Fernandina or Isabela that aren’t reachable in a day.
Can I combine day tours with a Galápagos cruise?
Absolutely. Many travelers spend 2–3 days doing day tours from San Cristóbal (Kicker Rock, Española, Highlands) and then embark on a shorter 4- or 5-day cruise for the further islands. We design custom itineraries to combine both.
When is the best time to visit the Galápagos?
Year-round destination. The warm-wet season (December–May) brings calmer seas, clearer skies, and warmer water — ideal for snorkeling. The cool-dry season (June–November) brings richer marine life thanks to the Humboldt current and cooler hiking conditions.
Do I need any special documents for Ecuador and Galápagos?
Valid passport (6+ months). Most nationalities don’t need a visa for tourism. For the Galápagos specifically: complete the biosafety form before arrival, pay the INGALA transit card (USD 20) at your departure airport, and pay the Galápagos National Park entrance fee (USD 200) on arrival.
